Alteo Amarone Della Valpolicella D.O.C. 75cl (2010) FASOLI GINO
£74.99 per bottle
Only the best grapes are selected to produce the Alteo, which are then left to dry in a specially designed loft for a minimum of 4 months before the winemaking process begins. Further to this, the wine is aged in barriques for up to 3 years, spending a further 12 months in the bottle before being released to the market. The resulting wine is full-bodied and elegant with a warm, inviting bouquet of dried fruit, black pepper, coffee, liquorice and vanilla. On the palate it is soft, velvety, and substantial. A surprising wine thanks to the surprising elegance, slight sweetness and volume, which lead to a long finish with a liquorice aftertaste.
